“You can wear these socks every day”
John Forde, owner of The Apollo Clinic in Abbotsford, Canada, on why he talks about Wethlete and why compression isn’t only for athletes.

Wethlete is a great young company. I like talking about the owners and where they come from, because they have a purpose behind the sock.
They created these socks because one of the owners ran seven ultras in seven days, which to the common person is craziness. That’s over 50 kilometers every day for seven days in a row. He was left with a difficult recovery because he didn’t have compression socks on. So then he thought, how can I make that better? So he made a compression sock.
“They’re the perfect gradient. They’re the perfect sizing. They are right and left. They’re comfortable. I’m wearing them right now.”
They are starting a movement to reach people that aren’t normally the users of compression socks.
Not only for athletes
Everybody can use compression socks, whether you’re an athlete or a regular person, whether you’re cooking in the kitchen, running a 10K or doing a marathon. Feet get sore when you’re washing dishes. I know mine do. So you can wear these socks every day.
Simple tools in life will help us get around better. Whether you’re dealing with elderly people, young people traveling or athletes, it doesn’t matter. A simple tool like these compression socks can really help improve your day, after travel, especially on long plane rides, after a run or after a long walk.
In the clinic and at home
When athletes are training hard, they really need to return venous blood flow to the heart. So compression is extremely important for this.
It’s a tool that we use in the clinic all the time, and you can use it at home, which is nice.
